As a decade-long fan of DJ S3RL's music, I was elated when he commissioned me for artwork for a track.
Given the subject matter, I started with a bit of research, which later informed my design decisions. For example, at first I planned to have stars in the background to show the earth flying through space, but then I learned that flat earthers believe that what we perceive as stars are actually just projections on the dome (sometimes called "the firmament") over the earth.
The source images used include a normal world map, a local mountain, moon and sun textures, and a space/stars texture. For the type, I chose a rounded typeface because the irony was too good to resist, plus it harmonizes well with his logo. Since most fonts don't include music symbols, I had to create one to fit with the rest of the font.
